Dallas Professional Photographers of America
The Dallas PPA, an affiliate of the Professional Photographers of America, seeks to elevate the standards of professional photography in Dallas and the DFW Metroplex by providing educational events and promoting fellowship and mutual support amongst its members.
Local Galleries Specializing in Photography
Dallas’ Afterimage Gallery is one of the oldest art galleries in the world devoted to photography. They feature outstanding photography by regional and national artists, and have been in business since 1971. The gallery is located at 2828 Routh, Suite 115 (in the Quadrangle), 214-871-9140. Mon - Sat 10-5:30.
PDNB, formerly “Photographs Do Not Bend”, is an art gallery dedicated to photo-based art. They are located in the Design District of Dallas, at 1202 Dragon Street. The gallery opened its original Uptown location in 1995, and moved to Dragon Street in the summer of 2006. Artists exhibited range from the early 20th Century to the present, including regional, national and internationally recognized artists.
